The Department of Software and Computer Science Education (KSVI) is responsible for the introductory programming courses for both the School of Computer Science and the School of Mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University. The courses are provided by faculty members who are known for outstanding instruction as demonstrated by numerous faculty-wide teaching awards.
The department guarantees the teacher training program specialized in computer science education as well as study programs focused on computer graphics, computer vision and computer game development at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The department includes three research groups: the Computer Graphics Group, the Game Development Group, the Computational Systems Neuroscience Group and the Advanced Multimedia Learning Laboratory.
